York Academy US Media Center was founded with one purpose - to build a space for all students to grow, learn and create with each passing day. Through a unique International Baccalaureate teaching approach and a truly passionate staff, we help students develop academically and personally to the highest level.

Mission:

The York Academy libraries are safe environments that enhance personal and academic learning opportunities by empowering students to become dynamic researchers, designers, and creators engaged in real-world applications of their knowledge independently.

Vision:

In York Academy, the library is the heartbeat of the school and provides resources to encourage student success in all content areas. The space is to be designed to allow multiple types of students the learning environments that they need to be successful.

Scheduling:

The York Academy Upper School Media Center is open from 7:45-4:00 Monday - Friday. 

Class Schedules are very flexible. Staff, in order to sign out a space for the library or use the Tighe King Digital Lab, please see Mrs. Daniels or email her at kdaniels@yorkarcs.org. The Tighe King Digital Lab is reserved after school each Tuesday for the coding club.
